This mother’s day, to celebrate Sikh mothers and mother-figures, Kaur Life & the Dasvand Network (DVN) is holding a photo contest! Submit “throw-back” and vintage photos of your mothers (or any Sikh woman). We want to see that raddest, most retro, hipster-ish photos of your moms!

Winners will be announced on May 17th and the photo will be featured on KaurLife.org and other social media!

Rules: Two, $100 non-cash prizes to donate to any project on the Dasvand Network will be awarded for the photo that receives most votes via Facebook and for the photo deemed “best picture.” The same person cannot win both prizes. A judge will choose the winning entry for “best picture.” The judge will be the president of the Dasvand Network, Inderpal Singh. Employees, staff, or full time volunteers of Kaur Life and the Dasvand Network, while they may submit a photo, they are are not eligible to win. It is up to Kaur Life’s discretion whether or not your entry will be accepted; no PG-13 material will be allowed (i.e.: nudes). Once submitted, you allow Kaur Life to use your photo for other Kaur Life publications. Vote 1 per day per person. Submit as many photos as you’d like. Voting and submission ends on Mother’s Day, May 10th, 2015.  Winners will be announced on May 17th. If Kaur Life sees any voter fraud or cheating, the photo in question along with the voter will be disqualified. You must own the right to the photo you submit. Photos must be of Sikh subjects.
