United in Solidarity

Ruhee Arora McCracken

I am a Sikh. Below, I express my support and interest in supporting those struggling with racial and religious issues.

Dear communities & people everywhere,

I am writing to show my support towards those that have suffered in this battle against color, and religion. My support is expressed through words of confidence, that we will persevere!

Tears roll down light and dark cheeks, eyes are filled with sadness on how to overcome this defeat.

Color against color has waged wars in our streets, while others believe we had this issue beat.

We are all equal, one Nation under God, that’s what we’re told and live by thus far.

White is to black, as dark is to light, so why do we allow hatred to stir up a fight?

Who decides if someone is better than another; instead we should be equal and not divided by color.

Innocent people have suffered and died, it’s time to stand together against this hateful pride.

We all want freedom and peace to fill out souls; we should not allow animosity to take control.

Everyone, everywhere, has the same dream in sight, let’s come together for this will give our country might.

Let’s not allow death to creep through our streets, let’s reunite, while reflecting on those who grieve.

One act of kindness should be bestowed upon another; this will revolutionize the issue of color!
