Celebrate the Power of Giving with Dasvandh Network’s DasvandhWeek Fundraiser

Dasvandh Network (DVN) is hosting their tenth annual 10 days of giving, DasvandhWeek 2022! This year, they are inviting donors to celebrate ‘The Power of Giving’ from November 11th to November 20th via online donations on www.dvnetwork.org

During these ten days, Dasvandh Network is giving donors the opportunity to immediately double their contribution by matching their donations 1:1 until funds are exhausted. DasvandhWeek is our opportunity as a community to continue supporting the powerful work of Sikh activists. It is the largest Sikh digital fundraising event of its kind!

“At DVN, we have been energized by how the community has come together when there has been an urgent need or unfortunate world events,” shared Mandeep Singh, Executive Director of Dasvandh Network. “We are so grateful to inspire intentional giving from our donor community to create a sustainable ecosystem of activists and causes. This year, we hope to amplify their voices and further humanity as a whole through their work.”

DVN aims to be a donor’s “portfolio of giving,” rooted in transparency and to inspire giving across 60+ Sikh organizations and social causes. Ranging from funding the education of children, capacity building for domestic violence prevention, to furthering social justice causes and humanitarian aid, DVN aims to create positive impacts in the Sikh community and beyond.

That continues into this year’s DasvandhWeek. DVN’s commitment to Sikh activists and their causes inspired this year’s theme: “The Power of Giving.” By bringing awareness to many projects and causes, DVN hopes to create a bridge for these activists and donors to connect beyond a single donation.

Kaurs Serving the Sikh Panth

Since its inception, Kaurs have played an integral role at Dasvandh Network, its partners and all the powerful activism happening all over the world. Of the 60+ nonprofits that are on the platform, more than 50% of them are led by inspiring Kaurs dedicated to moving the Panth together. This includes the Executive Directors of the most groundbreaking Sikh organizations in the United States are run by Kaurs – including the Sikh Coalition, SALDEF, Sikh Family Center and Ensaaf.

In order to highlight their journeys and dedication to the Panth, Dasvandh Network recently organized a virtual event called “Kaurs Leading Sikh Communities” as part of their DasvandhSeries event. Beyond leading the movement itself, the work that’s been funded on DVN is going on to benefit Kaurs in a multitude of ways, locally and back in Punjab. Whether it’s highlighting the untold stories of female victims of 1984, supporting survivors of gender based violence, providing scholarships for young Kaurs from low-income backgrounds in Punjab and beyond, the funds raised on Dasvandh Network are working to help create a safer, more equitable Panth for Kaurs.

Kaur Life is also on the Dasvandh Network platform. This year we are raising money to hire a social media manager and editor so they can take Kaur Life to the next level. Please donate today!
